MUAY THAI KHAN GRADE STRUCTURE OF GOLDEN MONGKHON INTERNATIONAL
The Muay Thai Grading Program under Golden Mongkhon International is designed to create a structured pathway for practitioners to develop their skills, discipline, and to understand authentic Muay Thai.
The program evaluates students not only on technical ability, but also on conditioning, ring awareness, respect for tradition, and fighting spirit—the core values that define Muay Thai.
Each level of grading represents a milestone in a practitioner’s journey, ensuring that students progress through a system that builds strong fundamentals, technical excellence, and true martial character.
The grading system is structured through Khan Levels, recognizing different stages of development within Muay Thai.
Khan 1 to Khan 10 are dedicated to students and fighters, focusing on the progressive development of Muay Thai fundamentals, techniques of the eight limbs, physical conditioning, tactical understanding, and competitive readiness. These levels guide practitioners from beginner to advanced fighter, preparing them for amateur and professional competition.

At this moment, Golden Mongkhon International is authorised to promote practitioners up to Khan 13 (Kru Yai – Senior Instructor / Assistant Master). This limitation exists because the current Chief of Golden Mongkhon holds Khan 14, and in accordance with traditional martial arts hierarchy, promotions are conducted only within the appropriate level of authority to maintain the integrity and credibility of the grading system.
Through this structured framework, Golden Mongkhon International continues to develop athletes, nurture instructors, and uphold the authentic spirit and discipline of Muay Thai while maintaining respect for its traditional lineage and hierarchy.
