Golden Mongkhon Amateur National Muay Thai Championship – Bengaluru 2025

The year 2025 began with a historic turn of events for Indian Muay Thai. The championship was originally planned as the 16th WMF Asian Muay Thai Championship in Bengaluru. However, due to the ongoing India–Pakistan conflict, many international representatives decided not to travel to India.

Instead of canceling the competition, the Golden Mongkhon Organising Committee acted quickly. They transformed the arrangements into the Golden Mongkhon Amateur National Muay Thai Championship – Bengaluru 2025. This bold move saved months of preparation and gave India a landmark Muay Thai event.

A Grand Showcase of Indian Talent

The championship brought together 140 fighters from across India. They represented clubs, gyms, and states that are actively pushing Muay Thai forward. The huge participation reflected the unity and strength of the Indian Muay Thai community.

Each bout displayed dedication, discipline, and the warrior spirit of Muay Thai. The atmosphere was electric. Coaches, families, and fans filled the venue with cheers from the first bell to the last fight.

A Shake-Up in the Amateur Rankings

This was a national amateur championship, so the results directly affected the Indian Amateur Muay Thai Rankings. Several top-ranked fighters lost their positions. New champions rose to claim the top spots in their weight categories.

One name that stayed at the top was Fazal Jamal in the 10 to under 16 age group. Despite tough competition, Fazal defended his position as the number one fighter. His performance proved why he is one of India’s brightest young talents.

The Team Behind the Success

The fighters were the stars of the event. But the real backbone was the hardworking technical officials, doctors, and volunteers. They ensured smooth scheduling, fair judging, and medical readiness at all times.

This team worked day and night to deliver on every promise made by the organisers. Their dedication showed that big sporting events depend on more than just what happens in the ring. Teamwork, planning, and commitment behind the scenes are equally important.

A Milestone for Indian Muay Thai

The Golden Mongkhon Amateur National Muay Thai Championship – Bengaluru 2025 will be remembered as a turning point for the sport in India. It proved that the Muay Thai community can adapt and thrive in difficult situations.

The event strengthened national rankings, showcased new talent, and brought the Muay Thai family together. With the continued support of fighters, coaches, officials, and fans, Golden Mongkhon will keep working to raise the standard of Muay Thai in India.
