Golden Mongkhon International will host the 2nd DYAD Muay Thai Championship. To find the best location for this South Zone Muay Thai Championship, the committee conducted an online poll on social media. Followers could choose from four cities/states: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Kerala received 72% of the votes, and the committee has selected it as the event’s host.
The committee has partnered with Spartan Martial Arts Academy in Kerala, the largest martial arts facility in the state, to organize the championship. The South Zone Championship will follow Golden Mongkhon Amateur rules and will feature competitions in the following age groups:
- 10 to 11 years old
- 12 to 13 years old
- 14 to 15 years old
- 16 to 17 years old
- 18 years and above (adults)
This event is part of a standings series that Golden Mongkhon will closely track. It provides athletes with opportunities to be promoted to the Pro-Am level or even the professional level.
The event will take place on August 3rd and 4th, 2024.
