Fuelling Team India for Bangkok 2026

Golden Mongkhon International (GMI) continues to lead Indian Muay Thai with strong dedication and new ideas. The organization always looks for ways to help fighters grow and perform better.

Now, as India prepares for the 21st World Muay Thai Championship in Bangkok, Thailand, March 2026, Golden Mongkhon has made an important decision. The team will launch a 100% Free Nutrition Program for Indian fighters who will represent the country at this world event.

Why This Step Matters

At the world level, every fighter has skill. However, what separates a good athlete from a world champion is preparation. Nutrition plays a key role in that process.

A strong body and sharp mind come from the right food, hydration, and recovery. Therefore, Golden Mongkhon will provide complete nutritional guidance to Team India at no cost.

Each selected fighter will receive expert help with:

  • Personalised meal and supplement plans
  • Weight-cut and rehydration strategies
  • Fight-week nutrition support
  • Recovery and performance guidance

This year, the program will support only 16 fighters. Because of this limit, each athlete will get focused attention and full guidance from our experts.

Personalised Nutrition Guidance

Every athlete’s body, training intensity, and performance goals are different. To meet these individual needs, the Golden Mongkhon Nutrition Program will offer personalised nutrition plans designed by certified experts.

Each fighter will receive one-on-one guidance from our nutrition team from November 2025 to March 2026 leading up to the championship. The experts will help them manage their diet, hydration, and recovery for maximum performance.

Normally, a customised nutrition plan with such professional guidance costs a significant amount for an athlete to maintain over time. However, this year, Golden Mongkhon will manage this professional service.

It’s important to note that this support covers nutrition guidance and planning, not supplements or products. The focus is on education, structure, and expert mentoring that empowers fighters to manage their nutrition the right way.

Meet Our Nutrition Team

To make this program truly effective, Golden Mongkhon has partnered with two highly skilled nutritionists. They bring a mix of science, experience, and passion for athlete development.

Ms. Shivani Shetty

M.Sc. in Food, Nutrition & Dietetics | Certified Health Coach | Ph.D. Candidate at Symbiosis
Specialisation: Clinical Dietetics and Sports Nutrition
Experience: 5 years

Shivani believes that steady effort builds great results. She combines her knowledge of clinical dietetics and sports nutrition to create plans that work for each fighter. Her goal is to help athletes build strength, stamina, and safe weight control throughout training.

Her belief inspires fighters to move forward with discipline:

“Destiny is built with only one consistent step at a time.”

As a result, her approach encourages long-term success rather than quick fixes.

Dr. Sowmya Bharani

Ph.D. in Nutrition – King’s College, London | Specialist in Sports Nutrition and Diabetes
Experience: 18 years | Worked at the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics

Dr. Sowmya brings global experience and a strong scientific background. She has worked with Olympic athletes, and her expertise in sports nutrition helps fighters prepare for top-level performance. Moreover, her knowledge of diabetes and health ensures every plan focuses on balance and safety.

Her words perfectly capture the fearless mindset needed in Muay Thai:

“Run from what’s comfortable. Forget safety. Live where you fear to live. Destroy your reputation. Be notorious. Stop being prudent and be mad!”

Because of her experience and spirit, she will guide fighters to perform with both courage and confidence.

Building the Future of Indian Muay Thai

Golden Mongkhon’s mission has always been clear — to create a system that builds strong, healthy, and successful fighters. This nutrition program is another important step toward that goal.

In addition, it connects science with training, giving athletes the complete support they need. A fighter who eats well, recovers properly, and trains with focus becomes unstoppable.

Therefore, with the help of this nutrition team, Team India will enter Bangkok 2026 stronger and smarter than ever before.

Next Steps

Golden Mongkhon will soon release the list of 16 selected fighters after speaking with their coaches. Meanwhile, our social media channels will share more about the nutrition team and their upcoming plans.

These updates will explain how the program will work and how each fighter will benefit. So, make sure to stay tuned for our next announcement.

The Road to Bangkok 2026 Begins Now
